Keeping Your Computer(s) Safe
Unfortunately, it is getting harder and harder to keep your data safe. New viruses come out every day, malware is spreading like wildfire, and unsafe websites abound. If you are looking for a very good antivirus program, Axiom recommends COMODO. Hop over to ComodoTV for a very informative video regarding COMODO's approach to safety!

Why Do I Continue To Get Viruses On My Computer?
I get this question a lot. It's not easy to answer!
If you have gotten infected one time by a virus or spyware related malware, you may always have problems with your computer. Your computer operates in many layers that you cannot see. Without going into too much detail, the registry is pretty much the bottom layer of your operating system. Everything that is installed, removed, configured or accessed runs through the registry. Simliar to the foundation of a house, it has to be rock solid for your computer to run properly.
What most virus/spyware activity does is change files in the registry. Important files get edited or removed when the infection takes hold. Then, when programs are used to remove the infections, there are registry files that are again changed from what they are supposed to be. This affects your operating system from the ground up.
This is a very broad example, but I hope that it may make things a little clearer as to how things can get out of whack just from one infection.
It is very important to have an antivirus with a firewall on your computer. Keep it up to date.
Probably even more important than that, is to have a good backup of your data. If you keep your backup current, even the worst virus/infection can ruin your pc but your data will be safe.
*Be careful of what you click on when you navigate the internet. Axiom Computers will have a newsletter sent out very soon explaining ways to determine good links from bad.
